A yacht interior that feels like home
"This is huge!" is the expected common statement as guests first step aboard the PE50 fast trawler expedition style power catamaran. A yacht that's internal living area enjoys a full 21' width, the combined galley and saloon allow you plenty of space to enjoy spending time at sea, entertaining guests and family or relaxing in a quiet anchorage. The width of living accommodation commonly associated with 60' yachts are enjoyed on the PE50 power catamaran due to the unique multi-hull design and innovative layout.
The PE50 layout utilizes our new trademark center hallway design which leads directly to the front owner's stateroom with none of the cumbersome up and down associated with traditional raised pilot house designs. With this unique layout you will enjoy more safety at sea as well as a high level of convenience that comes from keeping the main living daily areas all on the same level. All this while allowing a safely separated trawler style raised helm, which still retains open access to the overall living area. Gone are the days of enduring isolation in the pilot house away from friends and family. Make no mistake, this is a professional trawler bridge with that retains immediate access to the side deck and rear upper sun-deck and fly bridge – simple and smart – a grand design indeed. With 3 staterooms standard and the abilty to add more, the PE50 is well suited to a cruising couple or a large family and friends.
A commanding sky-lounge and helm
Back inside, the raised "sky-lounge" to port and adjacent the helm, will be a great additional place to relax, read or entertain and still have easy communication with other parts of the boat while underway or at anchor. It cannot be understated how grand a difference an additional space can be to privacy and livability aboard for yourselves and guests alike. People say it will become one of their favorite parts of the boat. The trawler style helm area is raised to provide a commanding view of the surrounding waters and has plenty of room for electronics, charts and more. Designed with immediate access to all controls as well as the side deck and fly bridge, this area is another "smart meets style" feature of the PE range of passage-maker power catamarans.
Private hull spaces and easy to service mechanical access
Both the owner and their guests will appreciate the private layout that places guest staterooms in the spacious hulls, each with en-suite heads. If either of the standard hull stateroom configurations is not desired, a variety of options can be designed into these areas – maybe an office, laundry and hobby area or efficient work-shop. These expedition class power catamarans are designed to reflect the way you live and your creativity is the only limit! And forget what you have heard about tight mechanical areas – spacious engine rooms and easy movement to all areas of the boat are consistent to the PE50 as they are in the PE60.
Out back and Up top
Safely protected from a following sea, you will enjoy many uses for the massive rear cockpit of this power catamaran. A full 24 feet wide, this enjoyable area includes a dedicated seating and entertainment setting section centered aft with easy and direct access to the lower dual swim platforms to each side. Low maintenance surfaces abound keeping you focused on enjoying the view not swabbing the deck.
Steps away lay the dedicated flybridge with a full electronics suite as standard.
Plenty of room here for enjoying the sights and just one more grand space for entertaining. Unprecedented deck space is available immediately to the aft of the flybridge for dingys, day-boats, kayaks and water-toys in order to get a closer look at those destinations you have in mind. A standard electronic crane is at hand to safety launch and retrieve the toys from this grand yacht.
Hull design
Many people are curious about the innovative Z-Hulls that are now standard on the entire range of Pacific Expedition Yachts. With Z-Hulls on your boat, you are at the forefront in the evolution of marine boating science. Z-Hulls have been in commercial service for many years and are now fully accepted hull designs. This innovation is simply a superior solution for dramatic increased load capacity as well as all the performance and economy benefits. Millions of miles on commercial power catamaran ferries and transports around the world have proven and solidified these designs into the world of marine science and performance. They will certainly be a conversation starter that you can be proud of as well as contribute to your wallet in the form of lower fuel bills.
